Understanding Wants vs. Needs
Needs are things like water, food, shelter — elements necessary for our survival.
Wants are things like people, places and objects — elements that are fun, but not necessary for survival.
Wants are amazing — they make us unique.
But problems can arise when we start needing our wants. I need this person to love me. I need this new job.
At the end of the day, we do not need anything. The fact that we are here, reading this newsletter, proves that we have what we need to live a vibrant life.
This perspective can not only change our internal state, but it can change the behavior of the physical world around us…
The Quantum Science of Wanting
Have you noticed how, when you allow things to unfold naturally, everything seems to fall into place?
And have you noticed how, when you start expecting certain things to happen by a certain time, it can create stress, pressure, and problems?
This is not a coincidence — these experiences can be explained by the mathematical laws of quantum mechanics.
🌌 The “uncertainty principle” states that when we allow the universe to do its thing, atoms can shape-shift, teleport, and play all sorts of quantum games. (Source)
However, when we try to manipulate the universe to do certain things, we “collapse the wave function,” and atoms lose all of their quantum energy. (Source)
🧲 In other words, when we remain open and allow the universe to do its thing, we can flow with the universe and all the magic that it brings.
But when we tell the universe what to do, we literally block its flow of energy, and things begin to fall apart.

Quantum Magnetism: The Updated Law of Attraction
The uncertainty principle highlights a new approach we can take to manifest our dreams and desires.
💭 Many people practice the Law of Attraction, which typically involves setting goals, visualizing these goals, and imagining what it will feel like when you reach these goals.
📍 However, these visualizations can be very specific — specific cars, specific houses, and specific people — which is another form of telling the universe what to do.
🤍 Instead of actively manifesting specific things, what if we spent this time practicing openness to whatever the universe is bringing us in each moment?
This is known as Quantum Magnetism — the practice of allowing things to flow to us in divine time.

3 Ways to Practice Quantum Magnetism

Quantum Magnetism does not mean “don’t strive.” Continue to set goals. Continue to work hard to achieve them. But let go of the need for them to happen in a certain way by a certain time.
❤️ With Your Needs: Practice Gratitude.
Take a moment to acknowledge that you are alive. Your lungs are breathing and your heart is beating. As long as this is true, you have everything you need to live a happy life.
Bonus Practice: The 90-second rule. Next time you are upset, spend 90 seconds listing all the things you are grateful for. This will quickly shift the focus from what you are missing to what you already have.
🌊 With the Universe: Practice Acceptance
Being aligned with the universe does not mean we are free from disturbances. Sometimes the universe will take us for a ride so we can learn a lesson. During these experiences, try holding an energy of openness — resisting life’s challenges is only going to make them more difficult.
