“You can do all the right things — exercise, meditate and eat organic angel hearts — but until you regulate your emotions, you will struggle to be healthy. — Dr. Joe Dispenza
In this article we will explore how emotions can influence your wellbeing. We will discuss how certain emotions can bring us to a measurable state of harmony, while others can increase entropy, disorder and disease. We will close by sharing 4 practices that can bring us to a baseline state of energetic coherence.
We hope this supports you in unlocking your highest potential. Let’s get started.
Different Emotions Create Different Heart Patterns
Every emotion — anger, joy, peace, shame — has a unique influence on our heart patterns.
📉 Difficult emotions (anger, guilt, shame) create “incoherent” heart patterns — they are jagged, sporadic and irregular (see graph below).
📈 Expansive emotions (gratitude, joy, love) create “coherent” heart patterns — they are smooth, balanced, and regular.
The coherence of our heart patterns has a significant influence on our health. In the next section, we will explore just how significant this influence is.

Heart Patterns Can Make or Break Our Health
All of our major systems (brain, lungs, nervous system) follow the rhythm of our heart.
When our heart is incoherent, our body is incoherent — our nervous system falls out of sync, our cells stop communicating, and we create room for diseases to form in the body.
When our heart is coherent, however, it brings our body into a measurable state of harmony and optimal functioning:
🫁 Our breath falls into the optimal RSA of about 5–7 breaths per minute.
🫀 Our HRV becomes high amplitude-low frequency, representing harmony between the two branches of our nervous system.
🧠 Our brain grooves into the alpha brainwave, increasing mental clarity and improving cognitive function.
Coherence truly means that all of our body’s systems are working together, and all we have to do is maintain baseline state of gratitude, joy, appreciation.
But that’s not all…

4 Practices To Increase Energetic Coherence
⚡ Quick Coherence® is a breath technique where you imagine the feeling of love flowing in and out of your heart as you breathe. The RSA, HRV and Blood Pressure graph above represents heart patterns before and after applying the quick coherence technique. Pretty cool.
🧲 Entrainment is our body’s tendency to sync up with the frequency of things around us. The frequency of earth itself (known as the Schumann resonance) is believed to be essential for human health. Therefore, spending time in nature can help our heart attune to the essential life frequency.
💭 Intention. When we set intention, our cells send out a highly coherent wave of electrical energy. You can use The Great Pause technique to practice bringing intention into more moments throughout the day.
🗣️ Mantras can increase in the coherence of our cardiovascular rhythms when they are recited 6+ times per minute. We imagine Clear Commands from MTVO would have a similar effect, along with their trauma releasing properties.
We invite you to tune in and play with whatever practices feel most in front of you.

Here is a brief summary of what we covered today:
🩺 Different feelings create different heart patterns.
📉 Feelings like anger, shame and guilt create incoherent patterns that increase energetic entropy and disease in the body.
📈 Feelings like joy, love, gratitude create coherent patterns that bring our body to a measurable state of harmony — where our brain, lungs and nervous system work together.
❤️ The state of coherence can transform our physical + energetic health, and we can achieve coherence by holding a baseline state of gratitude, joy, appreciation.
💪 Holding these baseline states can be challenging, but there are 5 techniques listed above that can help us experience more moments of coherence throughout the day.
We hope this information supports you in experiencing life more fully.
