What is Bioelectricity? ⚡
Many of VST’s products are designed to “increase the flow of electricity in our body”… But what does this mean? What even is electricity? And is there actually electricity in the body?
These are questions we’re explore in this week’s article. Let’s begin! ⚡
Does the Body Really Use Electricity?
More than anything else, your body runs on electricity.
⚡ Every thought, feeling, and movement is facilitated by electricity in the body.
In fact, we use electricity as an indicator of life in the body:
EEG and EKG scans monitor the electrical activity in the brain and heart (photo below).
Put simply, where there is electricity in the body, there is life in the body. Where there is no electricity, there is no life.
So this raises an important question…
What Even Is Electricity?
Put simply, electricity is the movement of electrons.
⚛️ Everything in life is made of atoms, and all atoms have electrons.
🤝 When atoms interact, they exchange electrons. This creates electricity.
🔋 Every electrical machine — from batteries to generators — is designed to generate electrons.
However, it’s one thing to generate electricity; it’s another thing to sustain electricity…
Conductors vs. Insulators
✋ Some atoms (like silicon) are insulators — they don’t like to exchange electrons (electricity).
When electrons flow into silicon, they stop in their tracks. No further electrons are shared, no further electricity is generated. (This is why many insulators are made of silicon).
🕺 Other atoms (like copper) are conductors — love to exchange electrons (electricity).
When electrons flow into copper, they meet a part of other electrons to play around with. (This is why many wires are made of copper).
⚡ This property is known as “conductivity”, and represents an atom’s ability to make use of the electricity that is sent to it.
But there’s 1 more factor at play…
Voltage: The Flow of Electrons
Imagine a battery: it’s sending electrons to copper, creating a fiesta of electron exchanges.
However, without voltage, these electrons move at random — some go up, some go down; some left, some right.
➡️ Voltage is a force that causes electrons to flow in the same direction.
Simply put, voltage works by sending the (+) electrons out one side of the battery, and (-) electrons out of the other side. (Hence the +/- signs on a battery).
Since (+)s and (-)s attract, all of the (+) electrons want to meet up with the (-) electrons at the other end of the wire, causing them all to flow in the same direction.
The diagram below shows how all of these elements come together to create electricity.
So now that we understand how electricity works in general, let’s explore how electricity works in the body.
Electricity in the Body
Our internal electrical system works just like a battery:
🔌 Cells generate electrons (electricity).
💌 Electrolytes — electron-sharing elements — help to carry the electricity from one cell to another (just like the wire in the diagram above).
⚡ The balance of electrolytes — the number of (+)s vs. (-)s — determines the voltage of each cell, and how fast the electricity can flow where it needs to go.
These components give us different 3 ways to increase the energy in your body…
Increasing Electricity in the Body (Bioelectricity)
The easiest way to increase bioelectricity is to plug into an electron source:
Electron practices include grounding, time in nature, and eating foods that support your body and frequency.
⚡ But again, it’s one thing to generate electricity, it’s another thing to use electricity.
So, here are some ways to increase your electrical conductivity:
🧠 Myelination
Myeline is a protective bubble that defends our nerve cells.
The more protection a nerve has, the more electricity it can carry.
Whereas a normal nerve travels at ~4.5 mph, a myelinated nerve can travel up to 270 mph.
Activities like physical and mental exercise (e.g. learning) can strengthen your myeline muscles, while eating omega-3 fatty acids is like giving your myelin protein after a workout.
⚡ Electrolytes
Electrolytes like sodium and potassium are electron carriers that help electricity flow from cell to cell.
When in optimal balance, these electrolytes can increase our cellular voltage and help our electrical signals flow faster.
However, having too much sodium or potassium can disturb the electrical balance and cause cells to go offline. So it is important to consume electrolytes in moderation.
And even if you have the perfect balance of electrolytes, this does not always increase the voltage of the cell…
🌱 Cellular Health
Our cells have doors that let electrolytes in and out.
If these doors don’t function properly, they may let too many electrolytes in, disrupting the voltage of our cells.
Eating whole foods, consuming anti-oxidants, and exercising regularly are 3 ways to support cellular health, so they can make the most of the electricity available to them.
Below is a visual representation of how these tools create electricity and increase the flow of life in the body.
Other Support
Many of Void Space Technologies are designed to support the flow of electricity in the body. Here are some tools that can help:
🌱 Source Seeds: More Electrons
Source Seeds generate biophotons (light energy), which is one of the most potent sources of electrons. They are like bringing the healing energy of nature into your home
🔲 Patches: Specific Electrons
Patches have bio-antennas, which help our bodies absorb certain frequencies of light energy. They give your body specific electrons in specific areas, based on what kind of support you are looking for.
⚡ M-States: More Conductivity
M-States are quantum electrolytes — they help your body process more electricity. In a study with the Quantum Biology Research Lab, M-States were found to increase the conductivity (energy usage) of our cells by 90%.
💧 AquaRX: Increase Your Voltage
AquaRX is like a personal assistant for your cells. It brings nutrients into your cells, keeps toxins out of your cells, and ensures optimal functioning + maximum voltage.
🧴 Quantum Cosmetics: Enliven Your Skin
We now have a range of skin care products — shampoos, eye creams, moisturizers — that can bring energetic support to your skin and physical body. It’s like applying life energy to whatever area needs some extra nourishment.
